These hemp towels are hand woven with an enticing textural weave that creates a lovely sheen and the natural hemp yarn that has been used has an unusual grey tone in its natural hemp colour. HUCK-A-BACK Hemp Towels are woven in a traditional weave with a age-old fibre. Because of the strength of the hemp fibre these towels should outlive you!

Hemp has been used for tens of thousands of years around the world. A highly sustainable fibre with qualities that include strength, mould-resistance, use of little water for growth, and aids in erosion.

Sustainable Design

Known as Foxfibre, this innovative yarn has been developed over 40 years by Sally Fox. Woven in a striking variation of a herringbone twill weave, this fabric is naturally grown and organic.

Fully Biodegradable

Accented with natural linen trim and ties, and sewn with cotton thread, even the smallest details of our Burial Shrouds are 100% biodegradable.

Easy To Use

All of our Burial Shrouds feature six durable cotton handles (three per side) and an unbleached canvas sleeve underneath to hold a wooden plank for full body support. A three-step instruction sheet is also included for easy, stress-free transport.

Each burial shroud is lovingly handcrafted at our Nova Scotia-based LaHave Weaving Studio by Lesley Armstrong, a master weaver with over 50 years of experience.
