6 reasons you'll love this Burial Shroud:

1. Easy To Use

Our Burial Shrouds have six durable cotton-webbed handles with a strong, reinforced canvas sleeve underneath to hold a wooden plank, providing full-body support. A three-step instruction sheet is also included for easy, stress-free transport.

2.Traditional Weave

This fabric is woven on our wooden and cast iron vintage Scottish power loom, in a traditional twill weave. Using strong sustainable fibres such as linen and cotton and weaving a sturdy twill fabric allows the shroud to drape gently on the body yet gives full support.

3.Fully Biodegradable

Detailed with natural linen trim and ties, and sewn with cotton thread; this burial shroud is 100% biodegradable.

4.Zero Waste, Zero Chemicals

We embrace earth-friendly design practices in the design and construction of our burial shrouds. No material is wasted and our fabrics are free from artificial dyes.

5.Handcrafted with Care

Each burial shroud is lovingly handmade at our Nova Scotia-based LaHave Weaving Studio by Lesley Armstrong, a master weaver with over 50 years of experience.

Custom sizing, colours and patterns are available by emailing lesley@lahaveweavingstudio.com

6. Lavender sachet

Each of our Natural Burial Shrouds includes a complementary sachet filled with pure, dried Nova Scotia lavender buds. Encased in a fully biodegradable silk organza pouch, this aromatic sachet provides a sweet, woodsy scent.
